A Los Angeles native, Allison has always been intrigued with body art as a form of self expression. Her world was forever changed when she was given a theatrical make-up palette at the age of 6. It was then, that she became passionate about the art of make-up and went on the become the go-to girl for Halloween and prom make-up throughout High School.
At the tender age of 16, Allison became a professional illustrator, story boarding for music videos, creating print ads for local art magazines, and designed ads for several stores including Dark Horse Comic's Things form Another World.
At 18, Allison ventured from California to New Orleans where she apprenticed for three years in Commedia Dell'Arte and Carnival leather mask making with world renown artitwst Jim Gibeault of Masquerade Fantasy Leather Masks. In 1996, Allison moved to Chicago, bringing her artistic interest with her. She attended Columbia College where she studied make-up for film, television, photogrpahy and theater.
In 1999 Allison became a regular contributor to Crafty Kids Magazine and Beanie World Monthly magazine. Her amazing talents caught our attention and we arehonored to welcome this unique and talented artist to the FABAIC.
