After acquiring a bachelor's degree in science and spending one year obtaining an occupational therapy license, Gaelle redirected her career towards her passion in art. Upon receiving a diploma as a graphic designer in 1999 she partnered with Phillipe Coquin to publish the Canadian edition of Nouvelles Esthetiques and Spa a professional magazine specializing in aesthetics and wellness. In 2003 Gaelle launched Exceptional Nail and in 2006 Exceptional Beauty. Both publications are geared to all forms of make-up, beauty, special effects, face and body painting.

A year later, Gaelle organized and created Colormundo and the Canadian Make-Up Championships. Both events are dedicated to the make-up and body painting industries. Two years ago she added Facial Special Effects to the event.

Gaelle travels internationally to teach and compete in face and body painting as well as beauty make-up and she feels that merging her two passions for publishing and make-up is allowing her to live them thoroughly at once. Her advice is to live your passion and life to the fullest without sacrificing one for the other. At the 2009 FABAIC Gaelle won second place in the professional body painting competition.
