Kristen Scott’s love of makeup began when she started dancing and doing theatre at a very young age, and by the time she was 14 years old, she started working professionally as a face painter. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Illustration and a minor in Photography, she worked for 10 years as an art director/graphic designer. During that time, she started her own face painting company, which has now grown into a boutique entertainment company called Magickal Entertainment. Besides doing various modern faires and festivals in California, Kristen is also the face painter at the Northern and Southern California Renaissance Faires.

In the Fall of 2007, Gymboree’s book, Face Painting – Enchanting Designs for Faces and Bodies was published, which credits Kristen as the makeup artist consultant, and creator of the face and body designs. Her work can also be found in Marcela Murad’s Face Painting Book of Fairies, and Face Painting Book of Cats.

She is a teacher at the Face and Body Art International Convention, and is the Director of Competitions.
