Growing up in Chicago Paul spent his childhood drawing. It was a hobby that was regularly praised by his family and peers.

Naturally, when Paul decided to go to college, his focus remained on art. After a brief stint at a state university, followed by a community college, he decided to attend The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In the standard four-year program, he completed his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in 2002. After college, Paul spent two summers working in the trenches of a theme park Caricature booth, in a suburb of Chicago. This is where he initially learned, and developed a technique with the airbrush.

In 2004, after a move to Rhode Island, Paul accepted a job in graphic design. Two layoffs later, he decided to go into business for himself, as a freelance artist. For the past five years, he has been supporting himself doing various types of work, including airbrush T-shirts, illustration, and body painting. In 2006, Paul decided to take his training one step higher by completing his Masters of Arts in Teaching at Rhode Island School of Design. We are very excited to welcome such an amazing artist as Paul as a first-time instructor at FABAIC.
